Please read the following Young Entrepreneur X Factor competition rules and the Term and Conditions carefully prior to participation or entry.
This year, Young Entrepreneur X Factor will be held on the 22nd & 23rd February 2025.
The competition is conducted in English. Contestants are required to have at least an intermediate to fluent level of proficiency in the English language.
The competition will be held at Eunoia Intercultural School, Jakarta. The participants are required to present during the competition, which will be held physically at the venue.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- The Young Entrepreneur X Factor registration deadline is 19th January 2025 at 11:59PM.
- The registration fee is USD20.
- You may join as an individual or in a pair with a maximum of 2 people (All team members participating as a group need to register and register using the same business information).
EGGHATCH BOOTCAMP
- We will provide the participants with an 8-hour boot camp and complimentary coaching sessions to assist them with their ideas and pitch deck before the competition day. This is compulsory for all the registered participants. This Egghatch Bootcamp is free to all the registered participants.

COMPETITION FORMAT
- Video Submission Deadline:
- All participants wishing to enter the Young Entrepreneur X Factor 2025 must post a short video at least 90 seconds long and a maximum of 180 seconds about their introduction and the business. The organizer committee will provide the video submission and pitch deck link once the participants have submitted the registration.
- The registration, video submission and pitch deck deadline is 19th January 2025, 11:59PM.
- The participants are required to submit the updated final slides by 15th February 2025 after the coaching session.
- Competition Criteria:
- There are two stages for the competition:
- Preliminary Rounds [22nd February 2025 | Afternoon]
- Finals [23rd February 2025 | Morning]
- Shortlisted participants must be present physically during the Pitching Sessions (Preliminary rounds and Grand Finals). No one else can present on their behalf if a participant is absent during the Pitching Session.
- The top 15 finalists for the Grand Finals will be announced in the morning on 23rd February 2025 at Eunoia Intercultural School.
- There are two stages for the competition:
PITCHING FORMAT (Preliminary Round)
- Existing Business Category (8 to 17 years old)
- Participants in this category will have a maximum of 5 minutes to pitch their business. Following the pitch, there is a 7-minute Q&A session with the judges. For a group presentation, there is no limit for the number of presenters, as long as it does not exceed the time limit.
- The Startups | Tweens Category (8-12 years old)
- Participants in this category will have a maximum of 5 minutes to pitch their business. Following the pitch, there is a 7-minute Q&A session with the judges. For a group presentation, there is no limit for the number of presenters, as long as it does not exceed the time limit.
- The Startups | Teens Category (13-17 years old)
- Participants in this category will have a maximum of 5 minutes to pitch their business. Following the pitch, there is a 7-minute Q&A session with the judges. For a group presentation, there is no limit for the number of presenters, as long as it does not exceed the time limit.
- Participants are required to submit a Presentation Deck for the competition.
- Participants can submit the Presentation Deck via Google Form link given by the committee later.
- The Presentation Deck must be submitted to the Organiser in PowerPoint format by 19th January 2025, 11:59PM. Canva and PDF formats are not acceptable as we need to ensure smooth process during the presentation.
- During the competition, participants are encouraged to present using a product prototype or a demo.
- Participants are encouraged not to use embedded videos in the presentation slides. We prefer to listen to you speak live to the panel of judges.
PITCHING FORMAT (Grand Finals)
- Existing Business Category (8 to 17 years old)
- Participants in this category will have a maximum of 3 minutes to pitch their business. Following the pitch, there is a 7-minute Q&A session with the judges. For a group presentation, there is no limit for the number of presenters, as long as it does not exceed the time limit.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Judges will score participants based on the following criteria:
THE X FACTOR
- Are you confident of your creative or innovative idea?
- Are you able to keep the level of energy and excitement up?
- Did the judges enjoy the interaction with you?
- Did the judges want to keep listening?
- What’s the engagement level you have with others?
- Do you demonstrate willingness to learn and desire to excel?
- How likely are the judges to introduce you to pitch to other people?
SELECTION OF FINALISTS
- Preliminary Round Judges will select the finalist for the three categories based on the scores awarded according to the competition criteria.

IDEA & VIABILITY
- Who and what are the obstacles you face?
- Who are the people you are trying to help?
- Why would people want to use your product or service?
- What makes your idea unique compared to others and what you can find?
- Are people willing to pay for the product or service?
- What might be the positive impact your product will generate?
- Is the idea investment ready? How will you use the funding if successful?

- How do you carry yourself in front of the judges and competitors?
- Do you grab the audience’s attention?
- Is your idea clearly presented?
- Do you storify your idea within the time limit?

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- By entering the competition, participants agree to abide by the Competition Terms and conditions and the decisions of the Organiser and judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
- By entering the competition, participants represent, acknowledge, and warrant that the submitted video is an original work created solely by the participant, and that the creative, business or product idea does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other part has any right, title, claim, or interest in the work.
- By entering the competition, participants represent and warrant that the entry does not and will not defame or otherwise violate the rights of any third party and does not and will not violate any laws and ordinances. The Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes does not comply with the Competition Terms and Conditions, or that is not consistent with the spirit and theme of the competition.
- Participation in this competition constitutes each participant consents to the Organiser’s use of participant’s name, photographs, video recording, likeness and geographical data for advertising and promotional purposes in any media without further notice, right of review, approval or compensation except where prohibited by law.
- Participants assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this competition and related activities, use, misuse or redemption of any prize. The Organiser is not responsible for and participants hereby release them from any claims arising from any accidents, injuries, damage or loss that might occur during participation in any part of the Competition and its related activities.
- The ACE EdVenture Group and the Circle of Excellence Group may use your personal information for analysis and to send marketing communications and keep you up to date with its products and promotions. You may unsubscribe from receiving such marketing communications at any time by following the instructions in our marketing communications. Data collected will not be sold nor shared with any unaffiliated third parties without your explicit consent.The Organiser reserves the right to interpret, alter or modify the terms and conditions if necessary or expedient without prior notice at any time.
